The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, we get asked all kinds of questions. So we wanted to compile list of 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with us!

Do you share my images?

Our number 1 priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren't quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren't for anyone else's eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that we would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with! 

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You definitely don't have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a BUNCH of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it's really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that's "I just woke up like this" or full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!

Do you have payment plans?

We offer endless payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and the full balance is due one week before the date of the shoot! If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments. Our payment plans are completely customizable to your needs. Just make sure to let us know what type of plan your want during your consultation.

Where should I buy outfits?

There are quite a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different styles and sizing options! If you are looking for something specific that you can't find, let me know and I might know where to get it. We have a lingerie buying guide, just ask! Also remember you don't HAVE to purchase any of your own outfits, as we offer an extensive client wardrobe that you get full access to. 

Do you Photoshop my images?

We do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. We do NOT, however, edit anything "out" that is permanent! We think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don't like.

If there are parts of yourself that are learning to love and aren't thrilled about, that is okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and bring out your shine!

Do you offer digitals?

All of our packages include some sort of print product, as we believe printing your images is the way they are meant to be seen. There are a variety of package options, and some do include the full digital gallery. These digital images come in a locked online gallery for you to download and share at your discretion. 

What type of print products do you have?

We offer a variety of albums, wall arts, folio boxes, playing cards, and so much more!! Our products are sourced through a professional printing lab and are heirloom quality. We absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical print, it's so surreal to see yourself like that!  

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN'T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of "WOW" when seeing your photos for the first so much better!

How many outfits should I bring?

This depends on your package and your vision. We always encourage clients to bring anything and everything they want. It's always better to bring more if you can't decide and we will help you decide at your shoot!

Where is your studio located?

We are located in historic downtown of Joplin, MO. We love this town and the old rustic feel of the building we are in! There is so much history here, ask us about it!

Should I get to my shoot early?

You should always plan on getting to your shoot about 10 minutes early so we can talk about your vision and make a plan for hair and makeup!
